Week 14 Thanksgiving (Dinner & Centers & Play)

Dear Parents,
What a busy week!  The kids continued working on the Day and Night unit with Ms. Westwood.  She had quite creative lessons with really fun center activities for the kids to visit.  We enjoyed eating Thanksgiving Lunch with family on Tuesday!  Special centers on Wednesday were a great success!  The kids had a blast visiting all the Kindergarten classrooms for Thanksgiving related activities.  Thank you to our center  volunteers for helping out in the classroom that morning...it was a big help!!!  Friday was the Thanksgiving Play and the kids looked adorable in their costumes!   It was a wonderful way to end a busy week!  I hope everyone enjoys the long holiday break and I look forward to seeing you all next week back at school!
Sincerely,

Week 13 Thanksgiving and Day and Night

Dear Parents,
This week the kids began a unit on Day and Night with Ms. Westwood.  They will be learning about what makes day and night and how to sort items they see in the day and night sky.  Our 5th Grade Book Buddies helped us assemble our Pilgrim people bags and we had lots of fun in the process.
Sincerely,

Here is a picture of the kids practicing for the Thanksgiving Play tomorrow.  Maybe it will help you get a seat in the lunchroom to see your little sweetie!!

Week 12 Fall Centers and Voting and Red Ribbon Week

Dear Parents,
What a busy week!  On top of our regularly scheduled learning activities the students got to vote for our next President, visit Fall Centers, participate in Red Ribbon Week activities, meet with Book Buddies, and attend a Poison Patrol presentation from WellStar Hospital.  I think we are ready for the weekend!  Thank you to our Room Moms for organizing the fall center supplies and thank you to  the parents for snack and center donations.  The kids really had a fun time visiting the various learning activities.
I am excited to have Ms. Westwood (TOSS student from KSU)working with us in the classroom.  She will be with us full time until early December!  Yay!
Sincerely,
