Week 18 Christmas Party

Dear Parents,
Kindergarten is fun!  We never seem to stop for long!!!  This week the kids waited patiently for their Christmas Party.  We had so much fun!  They enjoyed the centers as well as the gift swap and also looking through their stockings for goodies!  We even got a visit from Ms. Westwood!!!  The kids were very excited to see her!  Thank you to all who volunteered and for all donations towards this event.  Thank you to our Room Moms, Mrs. Holbrook and Mrs. Yeomans for always making learning fun!
Hope you all enjoy the holiday break and I'll see you next year!
Sincerely,

Reminders for December 17-21...

Week 17 Cookies

Dear Parents,
What a fun week we had in Kindergarten!  The students loved visiting the other Kindergarten classrooms to learn about a holiday tradition.  In our room, we learned about Christmas trees and we each got to decorate one to take home!  On Wednesday, we taste-tested cookies and wrote about our favorite kind!  On Thursday we made cookies for our Bake Sale.  Friday morning we were super excited to sell our treats!   All donations went to Caring Coins!  Thank you to all who visited our sale! Only 9 more days until Christmas!
Sincerely,

Week 16 2012

Dear Parents,
This week in Kindergarten the kids got into the Christmas spirit by making candy cane ornaments.  They turned out really cute and the kids kept the glitter in one corner of the room...our custodian was quite relieved!!!  On Wednesday, we wished Ms. Westwood good luck with the rest of her studies.  She will be sorely missed!  She loved all of the goodies sent in.  Thank you to everyone for sending in items.   We wrapped up the week with a visit from Ken Scott.  The kids had so much fun watching his magic tricks and Josiah H. got to go up on stage to be part of the fun!!!  Thank you to Fai's grandmother for sewing a table cloth for the homeliving table!  It looks fabulous!!!
Sincerely,

Week 15 2012

Dear Parents,
Week 15 the kids enjoyed learning about shadows! Ms. Westwood had the kids outside tracing each other's shadows and boy, was it fun!  The kids saw firsthand how the sun moves across the sky, changing the way their shadows looks!
Sincerely,
