Week 25
Dear Parents,
The kids had fun this week learning about choosing healthy snacks for their "refrigerators" and keeping their bodies germ-free. In Math, we focused on using pattern blocks to create new shapes. During Literacy Centers we reviewed short vowels by playing Bingo and we worked on finding rhyme pairs and creating our own.

Week 25 Kemp Mall
Dear Parents,
The kids had so much fun at the Kemp Mall Friday morning! Almost everyone spent all twenty-five cents. We did have a couple kids save some for next time. Thank you to everyone for sending in items for this memorable day!
Sincerely,

Week 24
Dear Parents,
The kids had fun this week learning about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. We completed our Venn Diagram comparing these two great presidents and we decorated a front/back picture of each president. The week before we soaked pennies in salt and vinegar to make them super shiny and we also saw how pennies made of copper can turn green when left to the elements, just like the Statue of Liberty.

Week 24 Valentine's Day Centers
Dear Parents,
The kids had lots of fun at our Valentine's Day Centers this week. They visited six centers: "Valentine Delivery", "Cookie Decorating", "Heart Graphing", "Love Book", "3 Super Cool Facts", and "Which Weighs More?". Thank you to our Room Moms and our parents who came in to help the kids complete their centers.

Week 23
Dear Parents,
The students had a great week practicing their patterning skills in Math Centers. We also used our ten frames to model numbers to 30 and explored using scales to make balanced number sentences. Our Bald Eagle, Liberty Bell, and Statue of Liberty crafts came out adorable. We took what we learned and wrote our own National Symbols books. Another fun week spent learning in Kindergarten!
